Sergio Perez has publicly apologised for his performance during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. The Mexican failed to escape Q1 on Saturday, putting him towards the back of the grid for Sunday's race. Perez failed to advance significantly in the race and then retired following a mistake that put him in the barrier.
