Rain disrupts 24 Hours of Le Mans, already hours of safety car
The night portion of the 24 Hours of Le Mans literally fell into the water. Since around three o'clock, the rain had been pouring down and it made it far too dangerous to race at full speed, forcing race control to send the safety car onto the track. At 7:45 am, however, hopeful news arrived: there is sight of racing again.
