Prior to the final race of the season, there were four drivers with a chance of winning the world title. The main race in Monza was a spectacular battle until the very last corner. In the end, Leonardo Fornaroli managed to get just enough points to clinch the title. This made Fornaroli the Formula 3 world champion.
