Team duels in percentages: Ocon and Norris win big

Every GP weekend, F1 teams and drivers settle for points on Sunday. In the intra-team duels, Lando Norris and Esteban Ocon are notable winners over their more experienced teammates. Red Bull Racing and Ferrari are at the top of the championship and the four drivers Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are also high up the rankings. In percentage terms, the teammates are very close in terms of points. At Haas F1 and Williams it is a different story; there the drivers are 'miles' apart in terms of percentage. In this statistic, two drivers, in particular, stand out; Norris and Ocon. Most team F1 duels as expected At Haas and Williams, Kevin Magnussen and Alexander Albon respectively account for one hundred percent of the points scored. Mick Schumacher mainly lacks experience and Nicholas Latifi lacks the skill to keep up with Albon and score points in his Williams. The situation is similar at Alfa Romeo F1 and Aston Martin. Valtteri Bottas scored ninety per cent of the team's total with 46 points. The Finn overshadows his debutant teammate. Sebastian Vettel, a four-time world champion, does the same to his teammate Lance Stroll with 81 per cent of the points. Among the top teams we see a fairly equal distribution that is also as expected. Verstappen took 58 per cent of Red Bull's points and Leclerc took 55 per cent of Ferrari's points. Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are also not particularly far apart with 59 per cent to 41 per cent (as are the AlphaTauri drivers). It is notable, however, that Russell is 34 points ahead of the seven-time world champion. Ocon and Norris beat experienced teammate That leaves Norris and Ocon as the most notable winners. McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo, who drove a whopping 219 GPs and won eight, scored just 23 per cent of McLaren's total points this year. Norris scored 77 per cent of the points with just 69 GPs on the counter in his career. The same is roughly true for Ocon; the Frenchman grabbed 68 per cent of the points compared to 32 per cent for Fernando Alonso. The two-time world champion and 32-time race winner is beaten by his younger teammate and has less than half his points.
