'Ferrari doesn't need a revolution right now'
'Ferrari doesn't need a revolution right now'

Former racing driver and FIA board member Emanuele Pirro thinks Ferrari will achieve better results under Fred Vasseur in 2023. Speaking to Speedweek Pirro explains how he envisions Vasseur's management style. Mattia Binotto 's departure means Ferrari will start the 2023 season with a new team boss. Vasseur comes over from Alfa Romeo and will have to bring order to Ferrari. Although the results in 2022 were an improvement on previous years, Ferrari still left very many points behind in the title race with Max Verstappen. Early in the season, Charles Leclerc was still able to make things difficult enough for the Dutchman, but after the summer break, it was clear that Verstappen was the doomed champion. 'Starting a revolution now is not good' Pirro, who competed in Formula 1 between 1989 and 1992, has since seen many different approaches from race teams. The driver was asked about his views on Ferrari's 2022 results. " It didn't go as well as it could have been," Pirro explains. "There were problems with technology and with team management. I believe new team boss Fred Vasseur will bring positivity and stability, he will bring order to Scuderia's exceptional human resources." "To start a revolution now is not good," Pirro continued. "Rather, the team needs a man at the top who will release the existing potential to give the team the final momentum towards winning the title."
